Canucks Game Worn Program Passes Torch

Throughout the recent years, many of us have been able to know and develop a relationship with Erikson Chia of the Vancouver Canucks.  Erikson had taken the game worn jersey program in the Canucks’ organization and developed it using insight gathered from his engagement with collectors.  From packaging and LOAs, to seeing autograph swatches stitched inside the jersey, it was easy to identify Erikson’s interest in the hobby and our collectors.

Erikson has recently taken a different position within the Canucks organization and unfortunately will no longer be able to dedicate the time to upkeep the game worn jersey program.  From this point forward, as many of you have probably been able to identify, Stu Lyster will be handling the game worn memorabilia program.

You may have seen posts from Stu in many of our Facebook groups which outline the new direction of the Canucks game worn program.  This new direction includes a mobile based auction platform in which bidders can register with a mobile number and email to place their bids while notifications regarding the auction will be send either by email or text.

From GameWorn.us, we wish all the best to Erikson in his future endeavors and thank him for the years he has spend with us.
We hope the best for Stu and the future of the Canucks game worn memorabilia program.

Vancouver Canucks Leading the Way in Packaging

20150616_194200-1
Out of all the teams that handle their own jersey sales, the Vancouver Canucks seem to be taking great strides to cater to game worn jersey collectors.  They seem to have a strong understanding as to what we want from a collector standpoint and delivering.

Above, you can see the packaging that was included in a 2012-13 Henrik Sedin Set 2 jersey.  The box the jersey is delivered in has a great rendering of the jersey on the exterior.  The jersey is tagged with a barcode above the fight strap that lists the year and set of the jersey with an identifying number and the Canucks logo.  The certificate of authenticity that is included has the Canucks logo embossed on it and includes information such as player name, player number, size, barcode registration number, set, and the dates the jersey was worn.

Recently, we have seen the new 2014-15 Millionaires set shipped with the same packaging and an added bonus.

Vancouver Canucks Game Worn Mystery Boxes Still Available

We have it on good authority that there are still 10+ mystery boxes still out there.  Rumor is that there is a Heritage Classic jersey mixed in somewhere as well.  We have only heard about an Edler and Luongo being pulled out, which means that there are still some awesome jerseys available in these boxes.  Here are the details:

The 2014 GAME WORN JERSEY SHOOTOUT

During the first four home games in April, the Canucks Team Store is selling 26 mystery boxes containing jerseys that have been worn on the ice by some of your favorite Vancouver Canucks.  This is an excellent opportunity to own a piece of Canucks history!

For sale in the jersey section of the Canucks Team Store (located in section 113) are 26 lettered boxes, each containing a mystery game worn jersey prize pack. Each sealed box costs $500 (plus applicable taxes) and guarantees you a prize of equal or greater value.

Listed below are the three types of prizes contained in boxes:

1. One game worn jersey.
2. One game worn jersey and a signed ‘Henrik Sedin 1000th Game’ framed collector’s piece.
3. Two game worn jerseys.

*Once all boxes are sold, the shootout is over.
*All boxes are sealed and the contents are unknown to anyone, including our staff.
*All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.  Season ticket holder discounts do not apply.
*The shootout is scheduled to take place during the first four home games in April (1st, 5th, 7th, 10th) or until all boxes have sold.
*The 26 prize packs contain selected jerseys from the 2010/2011 season until present.
