TSN is reporting that Adidas, the parent company of Reebok, has come to an agreement for a long-term deal to make jerseys for the teams in the NHL deal. This deal doubles the amount that Reebok has paid previously.
This has lead to speculation that this will open up opportunities for advertisement on jerseys and for Adidas to add their own design influence into the jerseys. As you can see, Adidas has supplied the University of Michigan in the past.but in recent times they have worn Reebok.
Have you seen any other teams that wear Adidas jerseys? What do you think of the deal that doubles the yearly revenue for the NHL pertaining to jerseys? Are ads on jerseys inevitable?
